As we reflect on all that our graduates have accomplished, what memories have you recorded?

Hey there Friend,

Graduation is almost here for some, already happened for others and for some it feels like a far distant future. That could be high school graduation, college graduation, or any other form of graduating.
For Mom's graduations come and go all the time. Our babies graduate from only laying, to sitting, then to crawling, then to walking...and from that point, on every day they are learning and growing. Some days feel heavy and super lonely. Other days you look back and wonder, like me today, where the last 11 years has gone!
No matter what stage you are in, this time in your life matters. You never know the one thing your kid will say that you will remember forever. Or maybe the service you will do for someone else that they will remember forever!
Those moments can feel like distant memories, and if you're like me many of those memories will fade over time. I'm not always perfect but I love to use the right side of my gratitude journal to remember those precious moments. In the morning I like to write my affirmations, goals and daily gratitude. Then at night I try to remember to write down the beautiful moments I want to remember. Or the things I wish I would have done better. I also really enjoy thinking about how I saw the hand of God in my life. Whatever it is for you, those pages will be treasured by all those people in your life who love you!
Lately I've been trying to spend more time with my Grandparents! They are incredible people with some crazy stories. I don't know how much longer they will be here, but I'm going to try and do all I can to learn all I can from them! My Grandma is one of 18 children! 2 died at birth so really only 16 were raised to adulthood. But you guys, they lived in a very small house and had very little to personally call their own. My Grandpa's Dad died when he was 2! Which meant he had a lot of responsibility at a very young age. I love listening to their stories and I wish they had more written down!
These memories are worth writing down, so please if you don't write it in our gratitude journal, write it somewhere! You will never regret recording those memories!
I hope you all have a wonderful week! If you aren't used to writing in a journal, maybe try to write down just one memory this week! Start simple, be consistent, and then you can grow from there.
Take Care,
Christy
P.S. You are capable of achieving your goals! Don't give up!
