Play Offense, Not Defense
Hey Friend,
Do ever get news that just kinda changes your mood. Maybe something that's not really that big of a deal, but is kind of a bummer? This seems to happen to me often. It can feel defeating when you seem to try hard to be the best you can be and to live life to its fullest.
I was taught a principle by someone you may know and who I look up to. His name is Dean Graziosi. He went from making very little to building multiple very successful companies. The man is even dyslexic. He also is a NY Times best-selling author, which if you think about the fact that he is dyslexic that's pretty incredible. When you hear him speak he lights your soul on fire to be better, to help others, and to stay on the offensive side of life.
One of the ways he tries to stay of the offensive end of things is through his morning routine. He wakes up, goes to the gym, drinks his green drink, thinks about 3 things he's grateful for, and sets his intentions for the day. He does all of this without looking at his phone or allowing the outside world to impact his life. He calls this being on the offensive side of his life. He says when he lets the outside world in by looking at emails, or social before doing his morning routine he tends to be on the defensive side of life. He prefers to be on the offensive.
To me this is powerful! Not letting others take our power can be hard, but when we set our intentions for the day and choose how we want to live our life and who we will let in, when those negative comments or people come it's much easier to push them away and not let it affect us when we are on the offensive!
So note for today, choose to do things each morning to put yourself on the offensive side of life! One of those things I believe should be gratitude, if you don't write it down at least think about 3 things you are grateful for and how your life would be different without those things!
I hope you found some encouragement from this today! Remember you are enough! You are doing an amazing work, even if no one else sees it but you. You can choose to live life on the offensive and be a light to those around you!
